Mustang Fringe Leather Jacket - Yellow
For years, we had this old 1930s leather fringe jacket hanging in the Wythe office - fun to look at and admire, but that was usually it. The jacket was handmade in the 1930s and was painted a gorgeous yellow color. Over time and wear, the paint had cracked and withered, but the leather was incredibly soft. A long fringe trim hung off the jacket across the front, down the sleeves, and across the back. Panels had been sewn in on each side where a previous owner, maybe the only owner, wanted some extra room to let out the jacket. We loved everything about it.
We were very pleased with our collaborative leather ranch jacket, so we decided to have some fun for ourselves. The Mustang is our nod to the jacket we admired on our wall. We even left in the side panels as a nod to the original owner. This jacket is made from a supple cowhide that needs very little break-in time. Featuring a contrasting collar (on the yellow and green colors), two-way YKK zippers with fringe pullers, smile pockets, fully lined, and just enough fringe to turn heads.
